Jane Staadt Obituary

Arlington, TX - Jane Staadt, formerly of Volcano, Hawaii, passed away peacefully in her sleep on November 22, 2024 in Arlington, Texas. She was born in August, 1944 on the Big Island to Hannah and Edward Kawaauhau. She loved her work in food service at public schools in Colorado and Hawaii and took great pride in being a part of the kapuna program where she taught children about her beloved Hawaii and its beautiful culture. She loved celebrating birthdays, dancing, talking story and sharing time with family and friends. She lived her life to the fullest and knew no stranger. Although we mourn her loss, her unwavering faith in God gives us comfort that we will see each other again. Preceded in death by husband, Leslie Staadt, Sr. and siblings Hannah, Vickie, Antone and Edward. Kapuna Jane is survived by brothers, Achie, Donald, Leroy and Lester; sisters Dona, Ellen and Debra; her children, Leslie Jr., Kay and Kimo, and her eight mo'opunas. She will be greatly missed by all, including her many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Celebration of Life to be held on Saturday - May 17, 2025 at Yano Memorial Hall 82-6156 Mamalahoa Hwy Captain Cook, HI 96704. Service to start at 11:00 and luncheon will follow.
